Brittney Griner: Russia Ready to Discuss Prisoner Swap | E! News
My sympathy for Griner is as great as her appreciation towards the U.S.
Hopefully Brittney will be released soon! Brittney is a good woman. Brittney is a sincere woman. She has admitted her mistake. She has apologized to the fans. She is a very good person. I wish Brittney all, all the best.
Keep him russiađż
Keep him there.

Broke the law ,accept the consequences.
I realize/understand emotions are running high over this situation, but it is probably prudent to put them aside and consider what may have actually precipitated Ms. Grinerâs legal predicament. For more than 20 years I have been an English instructor overseas, and in that time I have met and worked with many younger colleagues. Not a few have confided they sneaked marijuana into the country, despiteâŚor in spite ofâŚ.its laws and stiff penalties for the offense. They typically relate how sitting smoking a joint knowing they are violating the law holds a certain ânaughtyâ appeal to them. Basically a mindset of: âYeah. I got away with smoking pot in _______!â I cannot believe Ms. Griner was not of like mind. If her cannabis oil hadnât been discovered, she no doubt would have laughed as she sat in her room catching a buzzâŚknowing full well she was in violation of the lawâŚand getting away with it. YesâŚshe has reportedly said, âMy parents taught me two important things," Griner shared. "Take ownership for your responsibilitiesâŚThat's why I plead guilty to my chargesâŚI want the courts to understand it was an honest mistake.â I suspect this is NOT owning up. For Ms. Griner, and many who view the law as an obstacle to get around, the only mistake was getting caught. Games are for children. Sheâs an adult and must pay for her crime.
If this prisoner swap doesn't happen the WNBA is set to lose hundreds of dollars. Please make this happen đ
Russia is super strict Iâve heard many stories, scary ones of people going missing just for protesting peacefully, nine years is really excessive BUT she shouldâve never brought drugs that were illegal to another country, sheâs now facing the consequences of her actions.
HE is staying in Russia for 9 years! HE is not getting out anytime time soon. HE was too busy kneeling and not respecting the land which HE came from now HE can sit there for the next 9 years and remember how lucky HE was to be in America! HE can stay there! Putin wonât let HIM out so anyone who supports that HE/she âŚâŚ.thingâŚ.keep dreaming
Don't free that idiot, throw away the key. Send him to a gulag and be done with it
Whoa whoa, not so fast, little Brittany! Sarah Krivanek was there longer & she wasnt smuggling cannabis oil into the country. And btw, why was Brittany even in Russia?
Put Biden and others in prison for conspiring to aide and abet this confessed criminal. Any trade from our represented democracy (politicians) will be considered treasonous to America and should be dealt with accordingly
She needs to be treated like everyone else, she broke the law in the wrong country for sure.
9 years for some personal pot. Not like it was a large amount with intent. Seriously. Did i miss something?!
Best of luck to herđ
I agree with Salty Cracker. "I'm pulling for Putin on this one!"
Russia do NOT free her!!
Good news!!
Russia's prison system is a joke if all you have to do to get out is be famous.
We donât negotiate with terrorists!! Whatâs next?
Take a knee in jail hahahah suffer long legs
I am against special treatment for this America hating elitist. She needs to stay right where she is.
Yes its all about Brittany. Trade the "Merchant of death" for her and the hell with the other Americans incarcerated in Russia.
Absolutely no sympathy. She broke Russian law and must do the time.
Just CNN let her go!!!
Thank GOD she's being used to punish the đşđ¸ for helping Ukraine
